"You are so creative!" I have heard that phrase constantly since I was little. DIY, Refashioning, Crafting, Sewing, Woodworking. I love it all! Now I have a place to keep my favorite projects or ideas organized and share them with you!

Thank You Tree (Thanksgiving)

Help keep track of all your family is thankful for
during the month of November with a
Thank You Tree.

Step 1:
Find a nice branch to use for your tree.

Step 2:
Decorate an empty oatmeal container and fill with rocks to hold your stick in place. We also cut an X our lid to help hold our stick upright.

Step 3:
Ask your local paint store if you can have some of their leaf shaped paint samples for a project like we did,  or just make your own leaves out of paper.

Step:4
Have your family decide together, or take turns deciding on one thing you are thankful for each day in November (dinnertime is a great time to discuss this). There are no wrong answers.  Write that thing on a leaf and hang it on the tree. By the time Thanksgiving comes your tree will be full of leaves!

Fall Leaf Rainbow

We couldn't pass up a project where God gives us such beautiful supplies.

These are our trees. Today they are in full force. They contain 5 different colors, and every shade in between. Yes all on one day, and all on one tree!
 Red
 Orange
Yellow
 Green
 Purple

And although I have a to-do list for the day a mile long, we had to stop and do a craft, how could you not. So we took out a sheet of paper from Grandma's expired desk calendar, a bottle of glue and the leaves we gathered from our trees.

I asked if he wanted to make a circle (color wheel) or a rainbow.
He chose rainbow.

I am in awe of Gods creation this time of year and putting these leaves, that all came from one tree, in rows next to each other really made me amazed that they are so different yet came from one tree.
This reminds me again of the variety in all of God's creation.

Suddenly I am really hungry for Skittles!

No worries! We had some in the house.

So we matched the colors of the skittles to the colors of the leaves before we ate them.
Yum. Taste the rainbow!
